My homestate of Connecticut - which was the first state in the nation to legislate civil unions - has today universalized the right to marriage with a 4-3 state supreme court ruling. This places it third behind MA and CA (which hopefully will retain its legal status after the November 4th ballot initiative.)
And that makes 47 to go.
