Microcosms

For the past week, Students for Justice in Palestine and the Georgetown-Israel Alliance have been fighting for space through my office. Neither is willing to actually follow the policies we have in place, and the massive bureaucracy that is Georgetown seems more content to bounce them around from office to office rather than actually address their concerns.

Today, after someone from the Georgetown-Israel Alliance argued with my boss for 20 minutes trying to get a space for tomorrow, the president of the group called asking to cancel the same space. "Didn't someone just call arguing that you really needed it?" I asked. "Oh," she answered, "that must have been our other president."

*Sigh.*
