Two things about the campaign

The video below from CNN about Obama's lead in New Hampshire brings up two interesting points for me.

First, the conservative radio host says that "John McCain couldn't be more different than George Bush. The only thing they have in common is they're both men over 60 and they have gray hair!" The newscaster, bless his heart, says, umm, yeah, except he votes with George Bush like it's his job. Then she says that John McCain reaches across party lines while Bush is "a party puppet." Can the leader of the party really be the puppet, though? I can't imagine people being stupid enough to buy that. The real answer here is that John McCain is a little less stupid than George Bush, a fact neutralized by his temper, attitude, and policy positions.

Second, notice how smug and obnoxious the conservative host is when the newscaster asks the liberal host if Obama should have picked Clinton. I'm hoping that this attitude - displayed even by Palin herself in last week's Charles Gibson interview - will reveal to people just how calculative and manipulative the Palin pick was.
